NAW Creative Writing Fair 12 October 2012

Tuesday, 04 September 2012

Creative writing tuition and manuscript assessment is now available from publishers, agents, educational charities and private editorial service companies. As well as in the University sector, where the subject is established as a legitimate course of study.

The aim of the inaugural NAW Creative Writing Fair is to offer a half-day one-stop opportunity for aspiring writers to meet the leading providers of writing services from each sector.

Participants:

The National Academy of Writing
UEA MA
Faber Academy
Arvon Foundation
UEA Guardian
The Literary Consultancy
Adventures in Fiction
Annette Green Authors’ Agency
Spread the Word

Come and chat at the stalls, find out who does what. The Fair will also stage three panel discussions relevant to creative writing in the UK, with participants providing speakers and plenty of opportunity to be involved from the floor.

  • 2.30-3.30 What is the point of helping writers to write?
  • 4.30-5.30 How do changes in publishing influence the feedback offered to writers?
  • 6.30-7.30 What is the best way to teach creative writing?

The Fair is at the Free Word Centre, 60 Farringdon Road, London, from 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday 12th October. Entry is free and open to all, but please register in advance to reserve a place:
